Late Corinthian II, 550-500 B.C. Rare tripod pyxis with three broad feet, projecting rim and concave sides. Decoration of bands of varying width in red and brown glaze, most of each support reserved. Inside red slip on the floor. Gently sloping lid with flange underneath and moulded knob in shape of a button domed-topped. Lid is decorated with concentric bands.
