New Kingdom,  1530-1080 B.C. Veined alabaster vessel with globular body, short cylindrical neck and everted rim, tapered circular foot.
Cosmetic articles were very important in Egyptian households. Scenes showing elaborate vases and spoons for ointments and perfumes were depicted in tomb paintings and actual artefacts have been found in tombs and elsewhere.
